Norilsk Nickel will invests 2 trillion rubles in production development, 250 billion rubles in the sulfur project to reduce emissions.

 

 

The company is also ready to allocate 42 billion rubles for the renovation project in Norilsk.

 

Meanwhile, a decree of the Federation Council on the development of Norilsk, the draft of which was adopted by the upper house of parliament as a basis, is set to contribute to the implementation of federal programs.

 

These include the Housing renovation and Pure Water projects, said Andrey Grachev, Vice President for Federal and Regional Programs of Norilsk Nickel.

 

"This decree will actually contribute to the social and economic development of Norilsk as well as promote the inclusion of Norilsk in all federal programmes,” he said.

 

“In particular, we hope to get the applications on including Norilsk in the federal housing and clean water projects...”
